The Zeppelin Hall on the first floor of the Zeppelin Museum is dedicated to what is probably the most famous airship of all time, the LZ 129 Hindenburg, which was designed and built in the 1930s as one of the largest airships of its time. In addition to the necessary travel preparations for a trip to North or South America , exhibits on the postal and parcel services, travel routes and size comparisons show why this zeppelin was of great international importance as a "luxury liner of the skies". Models also explain the technical structure and the various passenger and crew compartments of the LZ 129 Hindenburg. In addition, original historic automobiles - a Maybach Zeppelin , a Gaylord Gladiator and an SHW car \- provide an initial insight into the industrial history of Friedrichshafen, which is interwoven with the zeppelins. Thus prepared, we now board the 33-meter-long partial reconstruction of the LZ 129 Hindenburg airship. The structure of the zeppelin is illustrated using original materials, and the skeleton and outer hull are visible. Visitors climb over the drop deck into the passenger areas, which have been reconstructed in their original size according to historical plans.
