Archive and Library

The Archive in the Zeppelin Museum is the worldwide biggest Archive for Zeppelin History and collects everything about the history of the company and the airships.

In addition, the archive possesses the estates of important persons in the history of Zeppelin as well as collections of photographs, films, postcards, newspaper clippings, posters, graphics and objects. In addition, the LZ Archive also contains the archival collections of the Zeppelin Museum and the Association friends of the Zeppelin Museum.


In the archive's reading room, users have access to an extensive specialist library on the subject of Zeppelin, some of which contains rare books.
The Zeppelin Archive can be visited by appointment during opening hours.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday: 
9.00 – 12.00 a.m. and 1.00 – 5.00 p.m.
