Andreas Feininger Archive

"Photography is a visual language, the only language that can be understood all over the world." Andreas Feininger

Since the beginning of 2011 the Andreas Feininger Archive has been part of the Zeppelin Museum that we look after scientifically as curators. Over 380 framed photographs, put together in two photo exhibitions with the titles "New York and the 40s" and "That's Photography", are available for loan.

Whether you are an interested lay person, knowledgeable professional or curious colleague and you have questions on Andreas Feininger and his photography or would like to have information about the loan conditions of the exhibition, please let us know how we can help.

Andreas Feininger (1906-1999) is among the most important photographers of the 20th century and created numerous photo classics that have shaped our visual perception. He also wrote countless manuals on the techniques of photography that have remained standard works to the present day.
