As books are read, so must works of art be read, but in many cases we no longer understand the ‘language’ they speak. For the ‘Kunststiftung Zeppelin Museum e.V.’ this represents the incentive for one of its main activities: helping people to gain a deeper understanding of art. This is done at various levels. For one thing, the association funds the so-called ‘Cicerones’, i.e. special guides who, during the annual temporary exhibitions, explain the exhibits to, and discuss them in personal talks with, visitors. The association also organizes special art and culture excursions for members and guests (‘not-yet-members’). The destinations are always in some way related to the themes of the Zeppelin Museum’s exhibitions.

Furthermore, the association plans to contribute to acquisitions for the permanent collection and to the restoration of works of art.
